IN RESIDENCE: CASA GILARDI BY BARRAGÁN

Luis Barragán’s Casa Gilardi, now the home of Martin Luque and his family, the house was constructed after Barragán had formally retired. Like most other work of Barragán, this house is also one of the best examples of colour in architecture for impact and atmosphere. 19°24'51.0"N 99°11'10.6"W

TADAO ANDO: ICHIGONI 152 MASTERPIECE

A film by Pundersons Gardens and Noë & Associates, "The lionised Japanese architect take us through his Manhattan masterpiece. On the corner of Kenmare and Elizabeth Street in Manhattan’s Nolita, a striking new edifice of concrete and glass will soon rise from the pavement, reaching some seven stories up into the ever-changing New York skyline."

IN RESIDENCE: RICARDO BOFILL BY ALBERT MOYA

How the Spanish architect built an empire out of a disused factory, there are houses, and then there’s Ricardo Bofill’s house: a brutalist former cement factory of epic proportions on the outskirts of Barcelona, 5,000 square meters of living space in concrete, ceramic, wood, glass. Built in 1975 with the newest addition, a bedroom and a bathroom built in 2010.

Information in one’s immediate surrounding affects social behaviour, emotions, and aesthetic satisfaction. A thought or culture can be imported, exported through media, public realm can be contaminated.
